This page lists records, human interest stories, awards, championships, and other accomplishments of PASA swimmers. It includes only those accomplishments achieved since PASA was formed and only swims or records set while the athlete was competing under the PASA banner.

Honors and Recognition for PASA Club

The PASA club has been recognized several times by USA swimming. Honors for PASA include:

  • For the 2006 long course season, PASA was ranked 15th in the US. The rankings are compiled by United States Swimming and include over 2,500 clubs nationwide. For more information, and a list of the club rankiongs, visit the USA Swimming Website.

  • PASA was named as a (repeat) silver medalist in the 2006 USA Swimming Excellence in Club Swimming Program. This program, affiliated with USA swimming, identifies and recognizes USA Swimming clubs for their commitment to excellence in operation, performance, and for their support of the sport and USA Swimming.   • PASA won the 2005 Long Course Far Western meet.

Championships

 

PASA national and junior national champions include:

  • Brooke Bishop, winner of the 50 free (26.1) at 2004 Long Course Senior Nationals (Stanford, CA)
  • Brooke Bishop, Tara Kirk, Dana Kirk and Liv Jensen, winners of the 400 meter medley relay at Spring Nationals (Irvine, CA)
  • Brooke Bishop, winner of the 50 free (22.75), 100 free (49.80), 100 fly (54.61), 50 back and 100 back (54.50) at the 2003 Spring Junior Nationals.


Awards

PASA swimmers and coaches have received the following awards:

  • Brooke Bishop, Abby Duckett, Kam Maxfield-Flores, Tom Kremer, Alex Navarro, and
    Austin Stahley were honored as Pacific Swimming outstanding age-group swimmers for 2005.
  • Scott Shea received the 2004 George Haines Award as the Pacific Association coach of the year.
  • Maddy Schaefer (Girls 10-under), Brooke Bishop (Girls 17-18), Mark Higgins (Boys 11-12), Kameron Flores-Maxfield (Boys 13-14) and Alex Navarro (Boys 13-14) were honored as outstanding age-group swimmers for 2004, by Pacific Swimming.
